Journey to Wild Divine

Playing the game was like being in one of those dreams where I’m sure that I can fly, if only I can let go and allow it to happen. The feeling was absolutely delightful. I’m looking forward to setting aside time to start playing the full game.

Thought for the Day (TFTD)

“God must be greater than the greatest of human weaknesses and, indeed, the greatest of human skill. God must even transcend our most remarkable – to emulate nature in its absolute splendor. How can any man or woman sin against such greatness of mind? How can one little carbon unit on Earth – in the […]

Extrapolated Salary

I graphed my salary from the Social Security Statement this morning. After diagnosis and meds, my salary increase faltered and I began to have steep drops in salary, usually corresponding to a period of unemployment, every three years. Just for giggles I’ve uploaded a gif of the graph. I let Excel do a logarithmic extrapolation […]

Blogthings – Who Were You In High School?

I’m not so sure about this. I hung out at the computer lab, all right, but I was definitely not an A scholar. I didn’t do homework, I cut just about every class to go to the computer lab. This was 1973-74, btw. There weren’t any home computers yet. Brainy Kid In high school, you […]

Their hopes for a better life are realized when Mike’s gamble of opening a video store blossoms into a popular video store chain. That’s where the […]

Democrats and “Elitism”

In the current political usage, “elite” usually means “educated” in the sense of being well-rounded intellectually. THAT is what we are struggling with. It’s people who want to learn it for themselves vs. people who would rather take someone else’s word for it. Spirituality vs. blind faith. Evolution vs. stagnancy. Proactive vs. reactive. We’re back […]

BlogThing: What Color Should Your Blog Be?

Your Blog Should Be Green Your blog is smart and thoughtful – not a lot of fluff. You enjoy a good discussion, especially if it involves picking apart ideas. However, you tend to get easily annoyed by any thoughtless comments in your blog. What Color Should Your Blog or Journal Be?

Self-Googling again

I suppose I’ll go in to work today for an hour or so. The ADHD got the better of me of Friday and I burnt out at about 5PM. But before I go in, I think I’ll surf the Internets. Let’s see who is linking to me. The Bipolar Planet has been in existence since […]
